Here's another one of my girls, the Lady Amalthea. She's vying for head hen, so sometimes she's a bit of a mean girl, but she's also really good at looking out for danger. Her leghorn heritage really shows through in her wariness but she's also one of the first to try new things.

Hello, my name is May! I have been wanting to try a new art style for painting birds, but I have not taken the leap to try the art style I have in my mind.

After seeing other threads of people asking to draw people's chickens, I decided that would be a fun way to try said style! So thank you to @my spoiled chickens and @YamYam for making your threads and inspiring me!

So, can I paint your birds? They don't have to be chickens, it could be a duck, goose, turkey, pheasant, parrot, etc. I just want to make the birds!

Could you answer these questions/provide this information with your pictures:
  1. What is the breed of bird?
  2. Are there any unique characteristics of your bird you would like seen in the painting?
  3. Does your bird have a favorite thing? (Food, toy, etc.)
  4. What is the personality of the bird?
Only if you have time, could you do my rooster baby as well🐔? His name is Smokey, he's a golden-lace, golden cuckoo mix. He has only one foot. He is a rescue, had to amputate his foot. As a baby his foot was crushed, he had a horrible infection. Vets said he wouldn't make it to adulthood. Now he is officially 1 and 5 days old😁. He is obsessed with new hay. He will be playing outside but once he sees us put new hay in he runs over and snuggles in it for hours. He is sweet but at the same time still a roo. So, he has his days 😅. He definitely does not like others though. He likes to be alone getting all the attention. 😄❤️🐓

I would love to make him! What a heart warming story!

I love all of the paintings so much! You have a really cute artstyle. My hubby let out an audible 'awwwe' when I showed him your work. They are so good and I'm extra impressed you capture a little bit of their personalities in each picture. It's going to look so good overall. People will be searching like 'wheres wally/waldo' for their feathered babies when you release the final peice! 💕
Aww!! Thank you! That will be cute and funny! ❤

She is gorgeous!! I love the little cheek muffs and tiny beard! I need to get me a fuzzy faced hen!
