Hopefully the pic works, but I'm assuming my cochin has Bumblefoot. Which I've never treated before!

Every forum and YouTube video I can find has a scab/head to pull out. I don't see one on my girl. There's a slight discoloration deep inside her bubble. But it might just be her leg.

Can I treat it without popping it?
Should I pop it without a clear head?
Should I wait? I want my girl to be treated ASAP but again I don't know what to do without a big ol scab visible.

Most of the time we see a scab and swelling on the foot pad with bumblefoot infection, but sometimes it show up on top of the foot between the toes. There is pus inside. The foot can be soaked in warm Epsom salts for 30 minutes a day to get it ready for surgery. Here is a good article about doing the surgery and squeezing the pus out:

Great thank you, so I should wait to see a scab before trying to dig in there?
I've been soaking it with epsom salt hoping it'll help regardless, thank you!
