Can I put rabbits in the chicken run?

That vet is only giving part of the picture. While Coccidia is mostly species-specific, it isn't always. Canine/feliine is species-specific, so humans cannot get it. Toxoplasmosis, however, is glaringly equal opportunity and will likely kill your rabbit - they do not respond well to antibiotics generally as they lose the helpful digestive bacteria, as well as the nasties. ProBiotics don't always work in time.

I've rescued two rabbits that were terrorized by chickens. One lost his eye. The other hates them entirely, but adores our ducks (go figure).

Among the other issues you're going to have is keeping their feed separate, while picking through hay won't hurt the chickens the presence of chicken poop in the rabbit hay is dangerous to the rabbits. Pellets will be nibbled by both, our rabbits adore poultry feed - grr!

Check out hencam the lady who hosts the site has had a rabbit in with your chickens for years. No problems.
I raised rabbits and chickens at the same time but never in the same run or building but the rabbits hutches were lined up against the coop and as far as I know there were no issues. When the chickens were let out to free range they scratched and scratched and sctratched under the hutches and seem no worse for wear.

I'm glad I was able to re-find this on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=M_CauOqTwo0
Chicken
policemen break up a rabbit fight... LOL. We haven't tried putting our bunny in with the hens, but if we did it would be under very close supervision... The bunnies in the video are also bigger than our little gal, so I think we will pass on trying to integrate them. Our bunny gets along well with our kitties (actually she is quite bossy with them), and they all stay indoors.
