awh you guys thanks seriously
Makes me so happy that my hours of typing and researching is helping people realize just how fun quail are to have!
I want to thank you guys too for reading my info, as it shows you really care about what goes into careing for them. They're not complicated to care for, but it sure is good knowing what goes into their care before hand!
As for where to buy your quail at....why...here on BYC ofcourse! Some breeders are still selling coturnix on the hatching egg part, the adults can be a little bit more challenging to find...but you can find them. Best time of the year to look for quail hatching eggs AND quail is in the spring to be honest as that's normally when breeders have the most eggs and birds for sale.
If you guys are up for incubating eggs
check out this source....this is where i got my Pharoah (normal sized) coturnix from:

and this is where you can buy chicks from them however they're out of stock right now:

I bought 100 hatching eggs from them, several were broken from shippiong them to me, however i still got a good hatch of them. It was fun.
I got my jumbos from a member on here SamG (i always forget his whole sn) however he sold out of his quail not too long ago but plans to get into them agian, when he does i highly reccomend buying from him. All his eggs were packaged nicely none broken, and most hatched!
As for button quails, I reccomend a good friend of mine on here Cindy- her screen name is: LilRalphieRoosmama she has BOTH coturnix and button quail. She's located in ohio btu she does ship eggs.
I got a batch of button quail eggs from her, but my incubator messed things up only had one of hers hatch, but he's a gorgeous silver and im very happy to have him and i plan to buy from her again as long as i have the room for more!
I will have coturnix and button quail eggs for sale in the spring as well as birds, but i wont ship birds i dont think...i will someday but i can't guarrentee when I'll get over my fear of shipping live birds haha! But i will happily ship hatching eggs of both when I have htem available. you can check out my website link to the left <------ for pricing.
Theres TONS of breeders on here with coturnix and button quail and we're always happy when theres morew new owners of them!
