Can I see some pics of your Quail hutches and coops?

This is my BobWhite House. It started out as a "Playhouse" coop, but wouldn't hold all my chickens(wonder how that happen?!)

Right now it's housing 3 females and 2 males. It did hold a dozen of them but most were males, so they went to live elsewhere. We have wrapped 3/4 of it with plastic to keep the winds out this winter and put in a load of straw as well.
I'm in NC and so far it has been very warm here.

I'd love to get something like that too for BQ (if the spacing was small enough) AND fancy rats LOL! I dont breed fancy rats now but i used to.

CoyoteMagic, that is a neat little pen/run you have for them.

I was fortunate in finding someone on craigslist who had "flight pens" for sale. I bought him out and got 6 cages that are 4' x 30" x 3' tall. The guy had made them himself. I'll be using 4 for my bunnies that I'm getting and one has my quail in them.

It is neat to see other people's quail houses.

cool info on the bq and that you can move out teh separators!!!!

As for fancy rats...oh yes they make wonderful pets! I wouldnt have owned them if htey didn't. Hamsters, mice, gerbils and guinea pigs have nothing on the sweetness of a rattie. If you are ever interested in getting one i reccomend buying from a breeder not a petstore...petstore rats are *Normally* sick or not handled much and can bite...but one raised by a breeder and hanlded daily is sweet, halarious and cuddleable they are honestly like puppies with tails...and you can share your food with em
