I have a chick, sold as RIR, 5weeks old, but has a lot of oddness in the look.... White tipped feathers, and frizzy looking body feathers coming in. Just want to compare. Thank you!

That definitely doesn't sound like a Rhode Island Red. Post a picture so we can see. Based on what you're describing, it sounds like you could have a Red Sex-Link that is frizzled.
There are not many red types that look like that. Rhode Islands and New Hampshires don't have white-tipped feathers. So, I think it's probably a Red Sex-Link. As for the feathers, those don't look frizzled. Otherwise ALL the feathers would be curling towards the bird's head. It may be some genetic thing. I have one chicken whose feathers always look like they're wet, no matter what kind of feather feeds I feed. It may be something like that.What other red types could it be? Idk much about chickens
