The dou in question is a Black Silkie/Cochin cross Hen and a White Silkie Roo. All four of her baby chicks are all black (feet and skin remains black and 5 toed)



Does the black color mean they are all Roo’s? Or could I get black hens and roos.

It won't work if mom was dark or yellow skinned.

This only works if the dam has white skin and yellow/white legs & the sire, black/slate...

No, the dark skinned chicks would be females, and the white/yellow skinned ones would’ve been cockerels.

I also have two chicks from this combination:

White Silkie Hen (black skin) & White Leg Horn Roo (Yellow skin)

One baby has yellow skin and legs with 4 toes, and the other baby has grayish colored legs and 5 toes.
