Can I still eat this one?

Recently discovered one of my meat birds in respiratory distress. We were able to humanely kill and bleed out the body. After removing the organs there was significant fluid around the heart and a small amount of ascites. I presume this chicken died of heart failure as these breeds often do. My question is, can we still eat this bird? The chicken was slaughtered before dying on her own and (we presume) did not die of a pathogen.

That was Congestive Heart Failure, it's common in broilers.

Yes you can still eat it.
