Id take him. He looks like a Brahma, but doesn't have feathered feet. We have wanted a white roo for awhile. He will be beautiful.I have a rooster?!oh my goodness I had no idea !!
If I have more then one I’d be gracious enough to give him away to you![]()
You can just tell that he is going to be an absolute boss. Really cool.I have a rooster?!oh my goodness I had no idea !!

Not going to lie, I’m pretty sure there are multiple Roos but not 100%Id take him. He looks like a Brahma, but doesn't have feathered feet. We have wanted a white roo for awhile. He will be beautiful.
It looks like the one in the doorway could also be a cock - maybe a speckled Sussex? Anymore pics of that one?
Ah ha yes. Delaware. Looks like that other Sussex is a hen, as well as the Amerecaunas there and maybe golden comets (?) Well send some more pics if you'd like, they are old enough now where you can get a pretty good idea. Not going to lie, I’m pretty sure there are multiple Roos but not 100%
I think the white is a Delaware from what I have concluded and all three of the delawares I got might be roosters but I could be wrong.
I have 15 chickens, I was only anticipating maybe 1-2 Roos but now Im pretty sure there are more?
Yes a speckled Sussex I’ll look for more pictures!
Yes so basically I got attacked by my dog and everything I wanted to do just got set back and I have to wait for husband to help me hopefully Friday/ Saturday.I see what appears to be an outline of a small pop door on the shed. Are you planning on getting that cut out so the chicks can get inside out of the rain and at night? If not, I would suggest a tarp to cover it in the meantime. And I would also suggest placing pavers around the outside of the run to deter digging from predators like coyotes and foxes (if you have those in your area). Finally, keep in mind that if the chicks roost in the run, raccoons are quite capable of reaching through the wire and getting/eating chickens.
Yes it is. It’s double triple layered and I have hardware cloth too in certain spots. That stuff is expensive wooooooweeeeee but thank you yes I will get more and overlapThey are ready to move outside permanently.
Is that chicken wire on the run though? That will not protect them from predators. It can be chewed through. You need to use hardware cloth instead.
Thank you! Today was the first night without heat lamp in the room. Can’t wait till they are in their homeThey really can move out right away but first I'd them off heat completely for a few days. If the lower temps make you nervous, then plan for moving them out on the weekend or early next week.
Awww I’m so excited I can’t wait to do this with them !!! I bet they are little stinkers. Can’t wait for them to try to get a taste of the goodies in the garden !If you want to train them to go back in when you want. Pick a call that will remain the same and only be used to call them. Start by using your call and sprinkle a few treats while they are looking. Back into where you want them, while still calling and sprinkling treats. After a while you will find you do not need the treats, they will come to the call.
I sometimes take mine out into the front or the empty lot next door. Don't let them fool you, they are smarter than they let on. Mine are trained to stay out of the street and to not eat the neighbors' gardens. Although if they think I am not looking one might try to grab a bright flower and run off with it.![]()
