Can I trim or file?

My 3 week old duckling gave me a pretty nasty scatch last night and it drew blood. (The duckling did it be mistake.)
Can I like File off the points of his claws?

You can carefully trim the tips of his nails with a pair of dog nail trimmers. Be careful not to cut into the quick. Nails can bleed a lot and cause quite a mess.
