Can I use an old outhouse for a coop?

Just a quick update on the outhouse. Unfortunately, the coop is rotting from the base which we didn't see until we moved aside the ground cover surrounding it. A corner of the floor is soft and decayed as well. We spoke with the previous owner of the property and he thinks the outhouse is about 35 to 40 yrs old. So needless to say we're not going to use it. I'm disappointed that it didn't work out, but we have some time as we aren't getting the chicks until February. Just want to have some structure in place before the snow flies. A hearty thanks to everyone for the advice and input.
