I don't have access to PDZ which would be my first choice, so I've been using stall dry on the poop boards.

Is it safe to use dolomitic limestone in addition to or instead of the stall dry? It has a granular consistency rather than the fine dusty sandy consistency of stall dry.

Dolomotic lime is perfectly safe to use. It is basically agricultural limestone where about half of the calcium in the calcium carbonate (calcite) has been replaced with magnesium cations to form dolomite: CaMg(CO3)2.)
