Can I use HDPE sewer pipe?

Hello Everyone, New here.

I am building a PVC waterer with nipples and wanted to used the 4" HDPE sewer pipe for the low cost and extra volume. It has a black internal lining. It is inexpensive but i can't find anywhere where the lining is safe. Will it leach anything into the water? Is this safe for use with a waterer?

It is the same stuff alot of people use for feeders.
