Google it. Real lard has to be refrigerated though....I heard of people buying it on line I thought a bit back. I can't remember any websites though.

Lard doesn't taste like bacon! It's like a food group all it's own.

Sweet tea is about the only thing in the south I can think of it's not used in...

I really like sweet tea too....maybe I will make some.

Will you eat spinach or asparagus if it has lard in it?

If I'm going to eat asparagus it better have lard or something else good in it, because you know I hate that stuff.

I'd just go out in the pasture and graze before I'd eat asparagus!

Besides, you eat fruitcake...

Are you serious? All the grocery stores here carry it. They do only sell the little pails now though instead of the 5 gallon cans we used as a kid.
Seriously, I know I'm in the South, but I thought everybody used lard...

Who knew? I learn something everyday.

Don"t tell anyone cause it probably not very southern, but I will eat asparagus rolled in olive oil, dousted with sea salt and Ms. Dash, and baked in oven.

Um, about the lard, I grew up on the stuff. Then the moms around here decided(without discussion) that it was going to kill us all. Now we have to find something else!
