Can I use Tylan 50 to treat bumblefoot?

Nothing is available in feed stores without a prescription except Tylan 50. You may order Fish Mox online 250 mg, and the dosage is 50 mg per pound twice a day for 5 days.

Toss eggs up to and for 14 days after treatment.

Thank you ❤️

I use a half cc of Tylan 50 (injected) for a standard size chicken if the Bumblefoot is really bad. I brought a hen to the vet once and the vet gave me prescription antibiotic pills, but you can't buy those yourself.

Also, if you still feel bumble pus inside the foot, you have to get it out. The Bumblefoot will just get worse with time if you don't get out all the infection.

These are the photos. I unfortunately don’t have the stomach for cleaning out a bumble foot so I decided to see my vet who is my friend. ;)

Glad you have a vet friend that can take care of the Bumblefoot for you.
It also looks like your hen has Scaly Leg Mites. Apply a nice thick layer of vaseline or oil to the legs making sure to get it under that scales to smother the mites. Do this a couple of times a week for several weeks. It will take a while for the legs to heal.

I’m going today at 5:00pm pacific time. Getting it done then.
Should I continue soaking it in that
Fish anabiotic after she digs it out?

Thank you! Yes, I’ll do that ASAP.
