Can I vacuum in the "nursery" while the chicks are in there?

Just dont belch as you walk past. MY mom walked past our brooder and belched and all 6 of my chicks jumped. It was priceless. I find it funny that they spooked since its never quiet around here. Poor chicks!

I vacuumed all the time and it never bothered them. They were scared the fist time or two, but was fine after that. I usually talked and played with them afterwards.

I would also make use of my dust pan to help scoop out the beding in the brooder. Makes a wonderful and quick way to get it all scooped up and cleaned out in a hurry. They never liked when it was cleaning time in the brooder, but the dust pan helped it go much faster so it was over quicker.

I vacuum everyday with them in there. I tried to move them at first but they would just run and hide. Now they know when they see the big noisy machine come in that they can go hide in their corner for am inute and it's over.
