Maybe all flock/Flockraiser type feed would be better. Although plenty of people do feed starter/grower for life. Either way, you need additional oyster shell.

I mostly feed chick feed with oystershells. My ducks get a mix of that with yeast and peas or waterfowl feed depending on what I end up bringing home.

Occasionally my girls get a 17%Layer mixed in with the chick feed, again, just depends on what I end up bringing home
