So my broody duck is expected to have her eggs hatched in two weeks, she’s in the duck coop with another female duck (the drake got killed by a Fox last week :hit) I was wondering if she could raise her ducklings in the run, (we have chickens in the run too) they are all free range....I’m also planning on getting another drake when the ducklings hatch

Better not. You might end up with dead ducklings. Especially with a drake in there....now if it was just a duck, then you could try it, and see how it responded to the little 'critters'.

There may be a drake, if I do have to move the mama duck and her ducklings then I would have to get a drake as a companion for the other one, our last drake that died spent his last week protecting mama duck on her eggs, he spent the night in the pond with the other girl, I’d say he gave himself up to save the female, he only died 4 days ago, the broody mama has been acting confused ever since and the other duck that witnessed it has been acting pretty depressed. I will keep you posted, two weeks till hatching day.

I agree with what your saying on the new drake that I’m going to get in 2 - 3 weeks, he would probably go for the ducklings because they wouldn’t be his
