Wryneck and Vitamin E for ducks?

Yesterday morning I noticed my 5 year old Indian Runner duck was weirdly looking up. It seems he cannot straighten his neck and is just curving it towards one side. He is eating and drinking normally and does not seem to be uncomfortable or in pain. I have done some research and it seems like it could be wryneck? I put some vitamin mix in his water today, but I am worried it is not enough. What is a good source of vitamin E for adult ducks? I have seen some vitamin e and selenium powder on Amazon for chickens but I am not sure if this is the best option or if those brands are reputable. Any advice is appreciated, thanks!

Hi ! Oh, I’m sorry to hear about your duck but with the right treatment it’s highly likely she’ll be just fine! Here is a post. I have not treated for wry neck, but I think some use human vit. E supplements like you can buy at Walmart.

If it were me, I'd go to Walmart, CVS, grocery store, etc. and pick up a bottle of Vitamin E and B-Complex. Generic brands are fine. Look for 400IU Vitamin E (180mg) and "B-Complex" or "Super B". Make sure the B has Thiamine (B1), Riboflavin (B2) Niacin (B3), usually there are several B Vitamins, but those 3 are what we want. The complex is just convenient.

As @Jenbirdee posted (my post LOL) egg has sufficient Selenium. If he doesn't like egg, then you can give other food that is rich in Selenium (fish/tuna).

The big problem with E+Selenium combo vitamins is usually the E is way too Low and the Selenium is too High for poultry at least. I'm curious about the product you saw on amazon, if you have a link to that I'd like to look at it.
