Can mini horses be housed with goats

If your goats are horned, I would not advise it. Since the mini is a stallion, I'd personally go with a solitary pen, much the way you would keep a full-sized stallion. A stallion is a stallion, after all, no matter what the size. ALL stallions can be aggressive, especially with women.

Being a stud of any kind raises the risks, and w/ this boy being new to you it's be hard to know his temperment. Solitary is generally not the best, however, if he's always been alone he probably should be kept that way. If he's been w/ other animals, I'd find out what kind (and how he was w/ them) and go from there.

I've kept goats w/ my mini stallion (no bred does), it's a large area and he's a pretty good natured (and lazy) horse. But I know him! I know what I feel comfortable w/. I wouldn't buy a new stallion w/ the plans to keep them in w/ my goats or other animals.

Even if he is a good natured horse, the goats may or may not eat his tail if their pen is not large enough

I keep my two horned goats with my five full sized horses with no issues. Just remember that horses cannot have moldy or old hay like goats can and goats cannot have grain containing copper like horses can. Of course, like others have said, you will need to evaluate his behavior. Some mini stallions are like dogs with hooves and some are little terrors. Some goats eat tails and some do not.

You will also want to educate yourself on caring for and feeding senior horses as well as feeding minis. It is very easy to over feed them and they are extremely prone to founder.

It's sheep that cant have copper.
Goats need copper

That's what I get for being a sheep breeder. Learn something new every day. Regardless, I don't let them share grain. They have different dietary requirements.

I have 2 fainting goats and a hair sheep in a pasture with a mini appy stallion and 4 mini mares as well as reg. horses. I think it all depends on the temperament of the animals in question. I would probably house him separate for now until you see how they get along. My minis are good natured as well as my big horses despite my male emu trying to seduce them...

I'd also never feed moldy hay to my goats. My goats eat much the same as my horses do.

Mine do too because they eat off of the horses' round bale. However, I have had bales get moldy and I still have the option of feeding it to my goats. Cows, goats, and sheep can handle a lot of forage that would causes horses to founder or colic.
