Can modenas live with chickens?

I have two modena pigeons and they live in a spacious cage. It's 6 by 6 and about four feet tall. I was wondering if it would be OK to keep a couple of bantam hens with them. Ideally they would free range every day. Would this work? The modenas are very friendly and have lived with my small owl pigeons before and they never hurt them (except they did chase them out of their nest box once

You have to worry about the chickens. Mine are ferocious to my poor pigeons. Make sure if anything happens the pigeons has room to get away.

I think modenas could live with the chickens, but I dont think the chickens would live with them.

My blond Eurasian ring neck doves live with my chickens If any of my doves become unfighted for any reason (whoops I got clay on my primaries) I remove them until moult.

Not sure if this helps but ringnecks are a known size, and flight ability.

And (my chickens) ignore them.

Maybe the smaller breeds it all depends on the birds and how territorial they are, If the Modenas have squabs it would be unsafe, I have heard that Modenas are poor flyers as well.

My modenas live in my chicken house. The pigeons have nests/perches high up on the wall that most of the chickens never fly up to (there are occasional ones that will fly up there and lay). The only issue I had with any of the pigeons being harmed was one baby one time that fell out of the nest too early and got beat up by some other bird, don't know who/what (it recovered and was fine though). I think part of the issue there was that I don't think at that time that I had a good "wall" on the edge of the nest box, the front was open, I later put a board on that added protection in that respect.

In general though, the pigeons and chickens (and everything else) get along alright. The pigeons will stay out of the way of bigger birds and stuff.

The modenas are free flighted, when I open the chicken house in the morning, the pigeons are free to come and go as they please, and they come back in at bedtime.

I have been concerned that my Modenas and Homers might contract a disease from my chickens . I am not sure what all they can pass back and forth . Then one needs to worry about over crowding their space .

I have all the birds listed in my profile (except the cockatoo) together. They have a very large flight pen but they roost together and I have never had any issues with them. I have even allowed the pigeons and Seramas to hatch out young with out any problem.
