can my chicken have the Hibcus or Rose of Sharon blooms that are falling off aroun the yard but not

More then likely it will be fine. chickens avoid most bad stuff for themselves.....unless they are starving. Hibiscus blooms make tea for humans..

This is the best comprehensive list on what flowers, weeds and herbs that chickens can eat. As a general rule, if its not on this list I wouldn't recommend feeding it to them, but chickens are foragers and if its just on the floor they will decide for themselves :

Yes, chickens can eat those, though I'd let the chickens forage them rather than gathering them and putting them in their feed dish As a side note rabbits LOVE hibiscus flowers, and you can even buy "organic dried hibiscus flowers" for them for a pretty penny in the USA.

Of course this is completely null and void if the hibiscus is being treated with / sprayed with any herbicides, fertilizers, fungicides or anything else nasty.

Yes, I agree, let them pick what they want, but hibiscus flowers are high in calcium, so would be a healthy choice.

My Chickens love to lay under my Rose of Sharon but the are not at all interested in the blooms on the ground. They haven't bothered my Hibiscus either.

i have rose of sharon in with my hens too and they dont bother with the blooms when they fall off.

Husband threw recovering chicken girl one... she has been in basement pampered with window and but wants back to outside. Its been since Aug 21 when we discovered FLYSTRIKE...... I ask him not to give the little vacuum cleaner chicken Girl stuff just cause she is bored...

just dont know the dif between Hibicus and Rose of Sharon... Bushes are invasive to me.. They were here when we bought Purgatory Place....
In my former home I eradicated them carefully by picking up everyblossom and pulling them up over a long span of years.....LOL
