That's what we call chard and my chickens love it!
As with any new food, they do need to be brave enough to try it, then learn that it tastes good and won't make them sick, before they get enthusiastic about eating it. Then they eat it down to the ground, scratch up the dirt to eat the roots and finally take a dust bath in the hole. So I plant a lot of it.
