I've given my birds hot Peppers. Nothing bad.
Just remove the stem.

Should be fine. They can't taste capsaicin by the way, so don't worry about the heat aspect.

I've fed my chickens the scraps of many a pepper, both hot and sweet. No concerns.

Mine seem to prefer sweet peppers over hot ones. But that may just be a size issue as the Datils I gave them are relatively small.

I always toss pepper scraps into the run.

I don't bother with removing the stem. They don't eat it, but it becomes one with the litter as part of the Deep Litter composting reaction.
