So I'm sitting here wondering how I could manage to get just two chicks and no more. I do not have an incubator. I would have to take in more chickens than I could manage in my back yard. I need to replace the one culled last week. I want to get at least 6 eggs per day.

Can I get eggs shipped to me and let my RIRs sit on them 'till they hatch? Has anyone been able to do this?

I think you could do that if you have a few broodies around. It won't work if you don't have any on hand though!
