Solved Can people stop responding to 10 year old threads?

I also don't find inappropriate alone to be reportable. it just didn't sit right. That's all.
Wait, I thought you were joking... you're not?!?

What's wrong with laughing at the fact that sometimes peeps that have been members for a long time need to go through a learning process?

I've been on this site longer than anybody, and I still go through tremendous learning processes (and expect I always will).

I think the "similar threads" thing is the main issue. I've clicked on those before and almost commented before remembering to check how old it is. I've learned to always check before typing...but each new member is going to go through that learning process.
I agree. I did it a couple times before learning to scroll to the very bottom to see newer threads.

Unfortunately, a new post on an old thread makes it move down there, and then it snowballs.

Maybe if the "similar threads" and new posts were reversed, so people would see new ones first?

I’ll probably be in the minority but as I have said before I don’t mind the old threads popping up. What’s wrong with new people reviving old discussions. This is a recreational and educational site. Every post and every page viewed I assume boost advertising and viewership for the site owner. We also see info that we might not find searching. Anyway, not to ramble, but I don’t mind it. 😁
