can pigeon sit and hatch bantam chicken eggs

See, my fanny is a little off balancrd and has mutant gene, where cannot fly. Poor bloodline, I am sure but we shall see in the upcoming weeks.

Ok this is off topic, BUT it is still pigeon related. . I let him roam since he hates being in cage, but sometimes the fanny will run from roost area with wings up and grunt to go back to his hutch or cabinet to eat or drink and nothings disturbing him.. Is it to balance out that the fanye does this or what? Any ideas?

Yes it has been done in a perfect world if all the planet align for you.

Thanks so much for replying to my question.:)
I was a spaz & misunderstood the planet aligned comment

Human intervention is of course needed in order for the newly hatched chicks to reach adult hood. The pigeon parents would be confused with the chicks needs and instincts which would be contrary to squabs requirements.

i have hatched japanese quail with my pigeons and it worked! i didn't think it was going to and then i saw it running around in the cage one morning peeping its little head off.
