I am going to build a house for my 3 little piggies(no not out of straw or sticks..or brick either).... Right now they are in the barn.

However when they get 40 lbs or so(maybe sooner) they will go outside. For three pigs I was thinking of an 8X8 shelter. Too small? Too big?

Do you think I need to put a floor in there or can they sleep on the ground?

I live in north central indiana, It will be a good month before they are big enough to go outside...(currently 10-12 lbs)....so it will be warmer then..

Thanks

Dureing the summer months, when it is extremely hot, they will prefer to sleep on the cooler ground. Mine has a crate...with straw. He is about 120ish....and still would rather sleep in his crate at night. ( its a big crate maybe 5x5)

they like to sleep on the ground.just make sure they cant digg out or climb out of their pen.or youll be chasing some lil piggies.
