Can post #s disappear?

Could have sworn I had 994+ posts a couple of weeks ago 'cause I was happy to see I almost had 1000. By now, I should have my 1000...where did they go????? Oh well....

We don't do any post-pruning, so your numbers shouldn't have changed. We'll keep an eye out for any bugs or other reports.

I think sometimes if you post on a thread that is later removed or sections of the thread are edited, your post count will reflect the number of posts removed. I know that is true for ovations.
