Can raccoons open these?

Wow, I have never seen raccoons able to be handled like that, and sit on a lap no less! Incredible.
.....Do it all the time when rescuing babies...they grow up & sometimes become pretty friendly even though released in the outdoors...but some get aggressive when in heat or mating season comes.....the wild comes out....I live in a NWF habitat where Raccoons & Possums are around every day & night....Lots of hiding places, food & water sources, trees for climbing & traveling, fruit sources.....facebook has many raccoon groups, same for UTube

Yep 2 sisters that are 2 years old, will be 3 in feb or march. Mine is named Raven and my son named his Sally.

Had one as a pet on and off since I was 3 (few decades ago now). Got these from a buddy, the momma was ran over in front of her apartment. They didn't even have their eyes open and she thought she could make them house pets, soon found out it doesn't happen after they were a few months old. They live outside in a 10x10 enclosure. We get them out every day to let them play. They love digging in my garden.

(Sally taken a few weeks ago, never mind her shedding all over me)

Can't ever get a good picture of them looking at you, they always keep their nose down looking for trouble to get in to.

LOL until somebody proves me wrong I'm gonna claim to be the resident coon expert on here. Grew up with them as pets, grew up trapping, and hunting them. Was training and selling champion bluetick hounds by the time I was 9. Can even give ya a really good recipe for BBQ coon.

Blueticks and treeing walkers for well over 40, mainly blueticks. I've raise and trained akc dogs that recognized in the acha. Sold my first dog when I was 6 for over 12k. Dad had his rescue licences when I was a wee brat, got mine when I turned 18. My 2 girls the local game warden gets and carries for show and tell back when the schools were open. My pet skunk was another that couldn't be let go but they would pick him up for show and tell.

Good to meet another coon lover tho. Right now I got my 2 baby girls that can't be released but also raising 3 possums we gonna let go and 2 spotted skunks. Fun times trying to not imprint on those and get 'em big enough to survive. Seems we the only crazy idiots around here that will take the challenge.

lets see if I can pull up a photobucket pic or they keep being stupid.

He was house trained, nurtured, and de-bagged. lived to be almost 15 years old. Same cage I put the coons in when the local game warden comes and pick them up for show and tell. The 10x10 kennel I keep the coons in now originally was his.
He was a hoot walking around on a leash. Adults would run but every little kid would crowd over and want to pet him and he would suck it up.
