Can Roosters have LAYER crumble/pellets?????!?!?!?!??!

Maybe the question would be better asked should roosters have higher calcium layer feeds? There is no benefit and depending on whom you believe there are risks (some pretty bad) especially long term. We have roosters with our pullets and we plan to feed 20% protein complete feed but also with oyster shell free choice, those needing it (laying ) can get what they need and those non laying (and cockerels) will leave it alone. This is what many here do with stellar results.

So should I by all flock?

Many use all flock with great results, "I" believe higher protein (compared to layer) is beneficial for many reasons, some also just keep feeding grower(unmedicated ) , however again going this route requires they get oyster shell as they need it (free choice 'round the clock)

I have given, give now, and will give layer pellets to roosters. They come out beautiful I'm not worried about what anyone says or has read. My oldest roosters are about 7ish years old and still going strong including high fertility levels

I can't use crumbles cause what gets scooped out their cups and onto the ground is fuzzy moldy the next day cause of the humidity where I live
I have the same problem. I put their feeders on plastic boot tray. The feed that gets knocked out ends up there instead. That’s helped a lot. Mine don’t like the pellets
