I have a pair and the female can fly up to 8 foot roost. The male hasn't tried to get that high. He roosts on a low 18 inch high roost. Neither have attempted to fly to a tree limb.

the babies can =/ one almost got out one me while i was in the pen with them ..

Mine fly VERY well. we have a narrow 7 acre Olive Orchard and the have flown 1/2 acoss the property above the trees (Only the hens) They roost in a huge tree outside our house. So yes they can fly and fly well..

Only the hens? My hen can get up to the top roost, and someone had clipped one wing, so I'm sure that after she molts she will be an excellent flyer. It's the male I'm concerned about. I pick him up every night so I can lock him in the coop.

I have two two month olds and the buggers fly out when ever they feel like it ! Have to clip a wing or they might become a snack for the dog if not carefull !
