Can she really lay two in the same day?

A few weeks ago one of my girls laid two eggs in one afternoon. I know this because she's the only easter egg layer I have, and I collected her daily gift the previous afternoon. The next day I came out in the evening and found two more blue eggs! I'm not worried about her, she seems perfectly healthy, I was just curious about how this could have happened?

I've had it happen every now and then. It's not common but possible.
