I want to get a silkie this year and was wondering if it would be ok with a Blue Cochin, White Leghorn, and cuckoo Maran?

Thank you! Would it be ok to keep just one with my other birds?I keep silkies with mixed flocks. They have little to no problems with my experience.
I think at least 4 would be fine. But you gotta make sure the others get to know them really good before moving them into the flock permanently.Thank you! Would it be ok to keep just one with my other birds?
I’m only alowed a certain amount of hens where I live so would only one be bad or if they were introduced right could I?I think at least 4 would be fine. But you gotta make sure the others get to know them really good before moving them into the flock permanently.

She says she can only get one.Yes, you could probably keep a silkie, but I'd recommend getting two. It's recommended with chickens with strange features (like crests and beard and muffs) to get two of those so they don't seem as strange to the other chickens, and the other chickens will be less likely to attack them. Integration will also be easier with two birds.
