There are any number of cost-effective microscopes - I STRONGLY suggest one that has a USB to the computer and comes with very easy software for the real-time slide viewing on the monitor. It does add to the cost but is priceless IMHO. The other thing to look for is "moveable stage" - i.e. you can move the slide side to side and up and down when looking for parasites.

This isn't to say that a fecal will be tons of money vs. taking a chicken into a vet for an office visit - but that recurring fee, whatever it is - will buy you your own testing supplies pretty quick.

Great info! Reading through it right now. Can you still eat the eggs if the chicken has/is being treated for coccida

Aint that the bloody truth. Try getting a vet for 2 coons, a skunk, a deer, or a squirrel.

Okay but once the fecal testing is done, do you just treat it with corid?

Wildlife rehabilitater in my state. These two I got and had to bottle feed before their eyes were even open. My 6'2 butt was momma so I imprinted on them, but I grew up with pet coons.
