Can Someone Answer THIS??

I think you should try to put the injured one with the silkie mama. Watch for a little while. you'll know right away if it will be trouble. I vote for Silkie mama will adopt and protect the baby. Silkies are known for adopting aren't they?
 
Hmmm... Maybe you need more chicks... Any excuse will do, right?

I agree with the other posters. You just never know untill you try. Just be sure to watch very closely. I have a silkie that hatched 2 babies Tuesday night. Then on Wednesday my orphan call eggs started hatching. Today I gave my silkie the first hatched duckling and just a few minutes ago gave her baby duck #2. She is as happy as a clam. My broody chochin on the other hand probably wouldn't have adopted the ducklings, so I didn't try her.

I hope your little injured ones heals well.
