Hi we have a 11 week old chickens. We've had them for three weeks and they have doubled in size. Were told they are barred rock, however they do not have the yellow beak and yellow feet that are a common characteristic. Their little combs are light pink, their beaks are blackish and grayish, and their feet are black to gray. Two of them are mostly black with a little bit of lighter color on the face, the third has quite a bit of brown, with a pattern similar to a barred rock.

Any help or ideas would be much appreciated!! There are so many, I don't know where to start looking!

I can say that I do not see any barred rocks in the photos posted - however, the photos are not showing the birds clearly enough to give you a definitive breed ID of what they *are* -- photos taken in natural lighting that show a bird in natural, standing position will be best as this will show the most of the characteristics that can be used to piece together the puzzle of what a bird might be.

Well, they don't look like they are 11 weeks old. They look like they are between 6 and 8 weeks old. They still have chick down on their faces. What color are the bottoms of their feet?

The bottoms of The brown ones feet are kind of greenish bluish., and the bottom of the black ones feet are kind of yellowish. When we got them they were very gangly looking three weeks ago with very few real looking feathers. Their feathers have filled in a lot in three weeks. I took a couple more close-ups here… Thank you so much for your help!

That is excellent news because our city does not allow roosters! I don't see any sign of waddle growing yet... Thank you so much for your help!

The black ones are probably Jersey Giants and the brown one is probably a mix. Also, they all look like pullets

I agree. They could also be backyard bred black sexlinks. That would explain why the person selling them thought they were Barred Rocks, if they hatched out of eggs laid by Barred Rock hens. They do look like pullets.
