Can someone please explain Artificial Insemination to me?

Hey I am starting some "experiments" with my chickens and am wanting to mix some chickens to see the crazy outcomes i get, and i'm wanting to use AI so i will know that they will have been bred. Can someone please take me step by step on how to do this? Thanks.

Get Storey's book on raising chickens. I forget the name but it is by Gail Demmerow (sp). It tells how to do it. Think there are even pictures. You can get the book on Amazon.com.

Can it be shipped or transported, and still used? I can't have roos, but I'd love to have some chicks next spring!

My friend tried to extract rooster juice from one of her cocks and he died. Word of caution.

Trap-nesting might be easier, as long as you have several hens but only one roo in a pen.
