Can someone please help? What is this?

Well thankx for the guesses guys...

I'm thinking after looking thru some pics online that it probably a black star.

I was either thinking black star or barnevelder...

Either way I like the coloring of them and they will look good with my big girls when the time comes to include them...

My guess would be a hatchery quality dark cornish. It doesn't have a single comb like a barnevelder. My favorite pullet is a dark cornish/barnevelder cross. She loves to be picked up and will peck at you until you do pick her up

Not too sure about the 1st one but I say the 2nd one is a Buff Orpington. They have white legs. I have one and she looks very close to yours.

The black one looks like my 6 1/2 wk. old black sex links. The yellow legs and small comb look the same, they were called red rocks by the store. And your red one looks like my red sex links, same age as my blacks, and the store said they were red sussex. They have bluish grey legs. One of the black sex links they sold us though has turned out to be an EE I think. She has green legs and variagated gold, red and black feathers. So I'm not convinced that they really knew what they were selling us. hmmmm.

WOW I just looked at the link and that's exactly what my two black ones look like. Especially the chestnut red coming in on the breast. Maybe that's what they are. I was told they were red rocks?

I think I'm leaning towards barnevelders as my black one on top... I saw the pics and they are identical...IMO. Thankx for all the guesses guys... Hopefully when they reach egg laying age they'll be easier to tell...

BYCers ROCK !!!

Double check the comb. If it doesn't have a single comb it's not a Barnevelder. It could be a black version of a Blue Laced red wyandotte but it's more likely a hatchery quality dark cornish. The comb in the picture looks more like a pea comb to me.
