Well we can all be certain that it is a cockrel.

Look like the Columbian pattern sports I get out of my Birchen Ameraucana pen. A friend of mine has her coop full with all my Columbian coloured sports out of my Birchens/Silver Blues. They start out nice and cute with racing stripes(like yours), making me think they will be silvers(so I keep them for a while) and then they feather out into that black and white pattern the bird in your first pic has. Maybe I should try breeding Columbian coloured Amers cause I get more of those then the pattern I am acctually trying to get(Birchen).

So I would say those are definitly Easter eggers.

with the coloring, and how it is defined so well, it makes me think red jungle fowl, but mcmurray doesn't sell those... It also has the wrong color of legs, jungles have more yellowey orange.

I do have an EE with less defined markings, but the same coloring, and the exact same colored legs. Mine is a bantam though, and one of the smallest chicks in the batch. You probably have a standard EE. We'll see when it starts laying

Anyway, have fun

Here is a picture comparing a RJF, and an EE chick. The EE is behind the RJF. (RJF = red jungle fowl, just so ya know

How old is the bird? It looks like a female EE to me if it's about 5 weeks.

Looks like one of our EE chicks. My son has named him snowflake but the more feathers he gets (Black and White) the more I think we will have to change her name.

Good luck with your chick!!
