Can someone please tell me what color Bobwhite these are? (pics

Ok so I emailed Leggs farm as I thought they might be of some help identifying the color mutation and give me some incite on it. I have to say I kinda cracked up after reading the reply. Keep in mind they have seen the exact same photos I posted for u guys. Below in quotes is their full reply in its entirety.

"Blonde????"

Maybe just me but looks like a guess. Ok so it was nice of them to take a look at the photos and reply back but I'm no better off then where I started. I am saving all the eggs they lay and will incubate all of them to see if they breed true. Until I am told otherwise I'm going have to assume that this is a new color mutation. Someone posted a link on this thread to leggs farms quail page and if u click on their pics they will enlarge. They do have blonde but they r lacking the pattern of the ones I posted and don't have the rusty color spots on their backs and r lacking in depth of the gray color compared to my birds. I wont say it was a bad guess as they r similar but not at all the same. Any help solving this mystery would b greatly appreciated as I will still continue to look for an answer.

I really thought when I purchased these that they were something a little more rare then the wild type color but thought I would find loads of info on them when I got home. Just curious b4 I end up with a ton of these. If they do breed true, is anyone interested in these birds? Just curious if there would even b a market or if there is any point in propagating them besides the fact that I like them.

I think your first theory of "proofing" by hatching all the eggs is a good one, should let us know if its a hybrid and/or breeds true.
regardless, pretty birds, would think there would be more if this was a known color?

Well wish I could credit for creating them but the truth is I bought them. Hopefully I will have a clutch of eggs together soon and incubate them. As I hatch them in clutches I will post pics of each group and update as they grow and feather in. Rommie made a good suggestion saying maybe Legg's blonde is different or crossed to create more as fast as they can or it may b a known color in another country and has already got a name and we created a similar color here and took the name even tho its different in the US. Just thoughts but def have plenty more research to do and if I happen to come up with anything will update the thread.

They definately are not snow flakes, they are white with black spot or streaks. Not grays either. Look more like blonde or fawn. Not silver as they are too light in color.

Update so far after setting 19 eggs not one has even tried to develop. I have seen them breeding and my other types of quail eggs in with them r hatching just fine so dont know whats going on. Just put another 9 in the bator last night.
