BUT, then i find my other perfectly healthy rooster is having seizures. (wry neck) ?? hence the, i cant find poly-vi-sol. i gave him some rooster booster.i put it in his crop. i have prednisone but hesitant to use it. i have never seen wry neck before and how do they get it overnight? they need some sunshine. keeping chickens is not supposed to be this hard. i cant force feed and water one chicken for a long time. couple days fine but not a month or more.

Granny, you may have coryza going on, and it's common to have secondary infections complicating things. Both MG (also called CRD) and coryza are chronic diseases which are never cured. Antibiotics are only used to lessen symptoms. Any chicks you hatch will get it too. Here are some links for you to look at:

thank you for the list of scales. i will have to get my daughter to order for me. what i see is symptoms of everything. there is bound to be more going on then one problem or i am missing it. i will list all symptoms and maybe some one will catch it. rooster #1 the sickest. bubbles in both eyes, eyes have turned very red and irritated looking. not active, been in 36inx 30in. cage for a few months now. have treated with tylan 50 injectable for about 2 weeks. nasal discharge looks like i am wiping black hair off. used antibiotic eye ointment. seems as if he cant see or is forgeting? i tap the water dish and it takes him a min. to find it . then he drinks alot. more then normal. newer symptoms include green poop with some white and weight loss. forgot swelling around the eyes. that was the first symptom. chickens in the coop, 4-5 of them . one shot of tylan and done. they presented with the eye swelling, 2 days later it was gone. next rooster , young, 4 months maybe, in a cage about 15 ft. from first roo. all cages covered with tarp. from the wind. he was very healthy. too happy with the girls, fine yesterday, somersaults today. wry neck? progressing as the day goes on to not walking . i tube feed him one cc of rooster booster and have gave him water a few times. if i hold his neck and the water he is able to drink. the only thing i see in common is they want a lot of water. i have 26 new babies in the house that are healthy. i have ordered oxytetracycline . should be here by friday. please keep in mind i have over 100 chickens and most are fancy bantam or show.

cathy, that is one of the places i went. they did not have any. if they did they were keeping them well hid. i looked today for the poly-vi-sol and CVS is ordering it
