A runt? lol that is funny. But seriously I doubt she is a 5-6 week old chicken the size of a baby. My hands are very small. I can wear childrens gloves!

these birds are exactly the same age.... one just didn't grow.

I think it is just a chicken with... I think it is called slow growth gene. I heard they tend to be roos.

I've had a BR cockerel who at 4 weeks old was smaller than the same-age bantam cochins that came in the same order. By 17 weeks, when we butchered the BR's, we couldn't tell which one had been the runt. He had been VERY slow to feather and very slow to grow, and looked much younger than the other BR's for weeks and weeks.

I'm thinking that baby is a runt of whatever breed it is.
