Can the smell of detergent hurt ducks during lockdown! Please help!

I am going into lockdown and was going to place the eggs on towels but they stongly smell of detergent! Can this hurt the babies? HELP!!!

When in doubt, don't. Would you use the same towels on a new born baby? The answer to this question should be the answer to the first question. Your eggs are more sensitive in the closed environment than a baby would be. Just my opinion. I've even packed away my Teflon, and will not do any painting until after my eggs hatch. (one excuse is as good as an other where painting is concerned!)
