Can they eat this?

Hey everyone, I'm in the process of doing my research and fact finding before I start my flock. My property is currently being attacked by what I think is creeping chaffweed. I've read somewhere that chickens will eat the seeds of weeds but these are thorny pickers that get stuck to everything and I wasn't sure if it's ok to free-range my chickens to try to slow or stop the spread of this crap.

Sorry. No idea. But the chickens will know. They are not dumb about what they will and won’t eat.

If I have the right weed, this site references it as being poisonous to livestock. Not sure if that means chickens or more cows/horses/goats, but be careful.
