Can they eat whatever this is?

we have an old stump in our yard and some kind of fungus or plant has been growing on it. I just saw my ducks eating a bunch of it and want to know if they’ll be alright.

Tree ear, jelly fungus, witches butter....here's an article. There are kinds of jelly fungus that people eat, but I'm no expert on edible fungi. I'd think probably okay since they ate it, you'll have to let us know....

I agree. It looks like a brown jelly fungus. They are edible. Your ducks should be fine.
