Can they have fruit?

Total, total myth. Chickens will eat anything. They definitely have their preferences, though. I had a fruit bowl that got past where I would eat it so I set it out for my chickens and the blackberries are still there a day later.

I just dumped a wheelbarrow of windfall apples to my chickens today. I do this every year with garden and orchard surplus. If fruit could hurt chickens, mine would be dead.
