I'm certainly not perfect but do my best. My hen, Little Red, that was attacked by a coyote looked way worse than any of the pictures on this post. She has provided me with eggs that I have consumed and shared with others. I felt it was my responsibility to give her a chance. Giving her a chance meant giving her a quiet safe environment to recover along with antibiotics, meds for pain, taking the time to keep her wounds clean and a little rehab to boot! SHe's now back with her flock mates....even that took time, which was given to her on her own accord. We all mean well....it was just a surprise that "Cookie" was exterminated without fighting the fight for her. There are going to be ruffles feathers....it is what it is.....that's all
