Can Toms live with Chickens Hens?

Geebs i though that too (my mind is slipping too) but then i asked by vet if it was ok to keep to geather and he didn't see a reason why not

If you keep them together I'd worm everyone with Safeguard/Panacur once in awhile. It is suppose to help prevent Blackhead disease that some chickens can carry. Mine free range together and my toms and roos are in the same pen. i would just be cautious that the toms do not fall in love with the hens, as they get quite heavy and can crush them.

Check with your local extension agent to see if there is BLACK HEAD DISEASE in your area. If you have black head in the area you cannot house chickens with turkeys.

The turkeys will transmit blackhead to the chickens who will die.

There is no black head here and so yes, my turkeys live with and often brood groups of chickens.
