My chicken has a runny nose. discharge is clear, shows no other sign of illness. Not sure whether it is an allergy or viral infection. Can I use nasal drops as remedy ?

No. Welcome to BYC. Do you have good overhead air circulation in your coop? Ammonia odors and dust from feed or bedding may be irritating. Viruses and bacterial respiratory diseases can be common. Is there any sneezing, gasping, or foam in the eyes? Just clean his nostrils with saline or water if they appear blocked. Where did the chicken come from, and how old is it? Here is a good link to read about the common respiratory diseases such as infectious bronchitis, mycoplasma (MG,) coryza and others: http://edis.ifas.ufl.edu/ps044

there are no other signs other than watery discharge from nostrils. Bird looks quite healthy, eat and drink as usual. It is around 7 months.

Then I would just watch her, provide good air circulation high up in your coop, and keep conditions clean and dry. If other symptoms, such as foam in eyes or a sneeze occur, then repost here.
